RFID Toll Payment — No Stopping, No Cash
FASTag is an RFID passive tag used for making toll payments directly from the customer's linked prepaid or savings account. It is affixed to the vehicle windscreen and enables the customer to drive through NHAI toll plazas without stopping for any cash payment.
The toll fare is automatically deducted from the linked account using RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology. FASTag is vehicle-specific and once affixed, cannot be transferred to another vehicle. FASTag is part of the NETC (National Electronic Toll Collection) initiative rolled out by NPCI under NHAI and IHMCL guidelines.
